Parent – Teacher Interviews: Progress Reports are scheduled to be sent home to students and families on Tuesday, November 16th. The evening of Thursday, November 18th and the morning of Friday, November 19th have been set aside for parent–teacher interviews. Interviews are to be scheduled for each student in the class at the time of Progress Reports. Interviews will be approximately 10 minutes in length. Lambton-Kingsway JMS interviews are scheduled online by parents and families. The interview schedule will be available until midnight on November 17th. To book an online interview:

Photo Re-Take and Sibling Day – Date Correction: November 18th is our photo re-take and sibling photo day. If you are requesting a re-take of your child’s photograph or a sibling photograph, we ask that you inform your child’s teacher prior to this day, so that they may be aware and support your child having the photo taken. Please note the correction. The previously communicated date of November 15th was in error.
TDSB French Immersion Programs: The TDSB offers Core French to all students in Grade 4-8. French Immersion programs are also available by application. Applications for Early Immersion beginning in JK are due by November 26th, 2021. Virtual Information Sessions for the Early French Immersion application and placement process are available in November. Remembrance Day – Virtual Presentation: Although we are still not able to gather as a school, our students were able to participate in a Remembrance Day ceremony on November 11. A group of our Grade 8 students created a Remembrance Day video that was seen by all students in their classrooms. We thank our Grade 8 students for their efforts and encouraging everyone to take the time to remember the sacrifices of so many Canadians as they fought for and continue to fight for the freedom of others.
PA Day – November 19 – No School: A reminder to all families that November 19th has been set aside for Parent-Teacher Interviews and that the school will be closed to students on this day.
Outdoor Flu Clinic – TPH: The West Toronto Ontario Health Team is hosting two outdoor flu clinics this coming Saturday, open to all ages 6 months +. It’s a great opportunity for families and anyone in the community to get their flu shot. See the attached flyer for information or visit www.wtoht.ca/events

Back to School Confirmation Form – If a child is home or sent home from school with symptoms of Covid this form should be completed and brought to school on the first day of return.

Winter Coat and Boot Drive Update: Thank you to all the families at Lambton-Kingsway for your generous clothing donations. You made the clothing drive an absolute success! Two full carloads of clothing were delivered to our sister school and they very appreciative of all the winter gear received. Your support is going to keep kids warm, comfortable, and playing throughout the winter – and that is huge. Way to go LKS! Thank you to our organizers of this event. Your support of our greater Etobicoke community is greatly appreciated.
We Scare Hunger Food Drive Update: Another huge thank you to the families at LKS! Over $6000.00 was raised in such a short period of time for the Daily Bread Food Bank! Ms. Zappi sends her sincerest thanks for such a spectacular result.
Stonegate Holiday Drive: A reminder to check your inboxes for an email from your Grade Parent(s) which will include a description of the family your child’s class will be helping as well as a link to a Sign Up Genius where you can sign up to donate a gift card for the family. All donated gift cards should be sent with your child to school where they can give it to their teacher who will place it in the class collection envelope.
Lambton-Kingsway is proud to work with Oaklane Orchards (an apple farm in Clarksburg, Ontario) to help fundraise for the school by offering families freshly picked apples, delivered to your home. By purchasing your apples online with Oaklane, you will help raise money for the school. 15% of apple sales, from LKS families, will be allocated to our school. Apples are packaged and shipped every Tuesday and Wednesday straight from Oaklane Orchards for delivery to your home within a couple of days. Apple season ends near the end of November so make sure you order soon.
