Hallowe’en Parade:  On Friday, October 29th, our Lambton-Kingsway students had the opportunity to wear Hallowe’en costumes to school and parade.  It was great to see our wonderful school spirit in action and the creativity in their costumes.  Students enjoyed the day and showed their enthusiasm as they walked by the LKS pumpkin patch.  Thank you to all classes who participated in creating our pumpkin display.  We wish all families a happy and safe Hallowe’en on October 31st.

Photo Re-Take and Sibling Day:  November 15th is our photo re-take and sibling photo day.  If you are requesting a re-take of your child’s photograph or a sibling photograph, we ask that you inform your child’s teacher prior to this day, so that they may be aware and support your child having the photo taken.

Grade 8 to 9 Information Nights:  Reminder – The TDSB will also hold a meeting for all Grade 8 students and families with information about the transition from Grade 8 to 9 on Monday, November 1st from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. for Learning Centre 4.

Treat of the Month:  On Friday, October 29th, students enjoyed a ‘Treat of the Month’ – Decorate your own Hallowe’en cookies.  Thank you to the Parent Council for organizing this opportunity for all students.  The cookies were delicious, but some may even make it to our students’ homes.

It’s Apple Season: Lambton-Kingsway is proud to work with Oaklane Orchards (an apple farm in Clarksburg, Ontario) to help fundraise for the school by offering families freshly picked apples, delivered to your home.  By purchasing your apples online with Oaklane, you will help raise money for the school. 15% of apple sales, from LKS families, will be allocated to our school.

Place your order for Honeycrisp and Gala apples at http://www.oaklaneorchards.com and make sure to enter the code “LKS” at checkout.  Apples are packaged and shipped every Tuesday and Wednesday straight from Oaklane Orchards for delivery to your home within a couple of days.  Apple season ends near the end of November so make sure you order soon:)
