Message to Grade 8 Students from Trustee Nunziata
Spirit Day Challenges – K-5 – Week 4
Congratulations to our Grade 8 Graduating Class of 2021: Our Grade 8 students continued to learn and achieve despite the many challenges that they faced throughout the year. We celebrated the success of our students during the evening of June 24th and our teachers congratulated the students in person during the morning of Friday, June 25th. We know that the students who leave Lambton-Kingsway JMS are well prepared for the adventures ahead. We know our students will continue to have a positive impact when they enter Grade 9 and many years beyond. We look forward to hearing of all the future success. Thank you once again to our parents and Graduation Committee members who have been supportive throughout this year despite our ever-changing safety guidelines. Your support has made this year special for our students and staff.

Spirit Day Challenges – K-5 – Week 4: The month of June has been full of spirit day challenges each week. Here is a link to Week 4. Our students have done a tremendous job showing their LKS spirit each and every day as they rise to these challenges. We thank Ms. Heath and Ms. Taylor and all the primary and junior teachers for their work with the creative challenges for our students.
Collection of Belongings: Thank you to all those students who were able to attend the school on Wednesday, June 23 to collect belongings. Any clothing items that have remained behind will be donated and other items will be disposed of. If you did not have an opportunity to collect items, please contact the school main office.
Return of Technology: If your child has borrowed a laptop device from the school to access remote learning, please remember that all devices and charging cords need to be returned to the school by June 30th. The school will be open for return of devices from June 21 – 30. If you no longer need the items, you can return them on June 23rd when you are picking up student belongings.
Report Card Delivery: We started sending out report cards electronically on Thursday, June 24th. Reports are password protected and sent to the email address that we have on file. If you have not received your child’s report card by June 29, please contact the main office.
Staff Changes: As each year winds down, we experience changes in our staff at Lambton-Kingsway. We thank all staff for their dedication and effort toward the success of our students. Please note the following changes to our staff for the coming year.
We say goodbye to Ms. Westover, Ms. Kaur, Ms. Selby-Munro, Ms. Ruffalo, Ms. Mohammed, and Ms. Currie who have completed their long-term occasional positions at our school, and we wish them well as they continue their teaching careers. We thank them for filling the role of our teachers who have been on leave.
We also say goodbye to Mr. Bracht who has been teaching at Lambton-Kingsway for the past 16 years. Mr. Bracht has been a leader on the staff for many years. He has been an exemplary teacher in his time at Lambton-Kingsway. He coached multiple extra-curricular teams each year, supported many student leadership activities and led the staff implementing new curriculum initiatives. Mr. Bracht’s impact upon students who have been at Lambton-Kingsway has been positive and long lasting. We wish him much success at his new school and know that he will continue to challenge students to be the best that they can be.
We welcome back Ms. Hoffman, Ms. Fallis and Ms. Sunde who are returning from leaves and Ms. Olson and Dr. Grant who have been teaching in the TDSB Virtual School. We look forward to their return for September 2021. We also welcome Mr. Williams who will be joining the staff at Lambton-Kingsway.
