Parent-Teacher Interview Bookings:  The First Term Reports are scheduled to be sent home to students and families on Monday, February 8th.  Parent-teacher interviews are scheduled for Thursday, February 11th and Friday, February 12th.  At the end of the first term, interviews are held at the request of the teacher or if requested by a parent.  Requests for interviews have been sent home to students and families this week.

Lambton-Kingsway JMS interviews are scheduled online by parents and families.  The interview schedule will open on Friday, January 29th beginning at 4:00 p.m. and will be available until Friday, February 5th at 4:00 p.m.  To book an online interview:

Communication between parents and teachers is an important support for a child’s education.  We look forward to speaking with parents during this interview time.

First Term Reports: A decision has been made by the TDSB about the distribution of First Term Reports Cards.  Reports will be sent electronically beginning on February 8th.  The process to deliver reports to all TDSB students may take a few days to complete but should be completed by February 11th.  The Kindergarten Communication of Learning and the Grade 1-8 First Term Reports will be sent to the parent email that is on file with the TDSB.  The Grade 4-8 First Term Reports will also be sent directly to the student email. 

Kindergarten Registration: Our online Kindergarten registration online form will open on February 1st.  A video is available to provide you with guidance about the process.  Children who were born in 2017 are eligible to begin school in September 2021.  Parents should confirm that Lambton-Kingsway is the home school, by address, using the TDSB School Finder and then complete the online registration by February 10th.  You will then be contacted by the school to arrange a tentative appointment between February 16th and 18th to review documents and complete the registration.  If you have questions about Kindergarten registration, many of the answers can be found here. The Advantages of Remote Learning:  All of our students would like to return to in person learning as soon as possible.  Our students also know that having a positive attitude about change is important to success.  When visiting remote classes this week we asked our students what were some of the advantages of learning from home?  Here are some of the most popular answers:

  • We can get to school faster and we don’t have to worry about the weather
  • It is better at home because I can see my parents more often
  • I can get a snack almost anytime I need it
  • I can concentrate on my work with all of my resources around me
