Hello LKS Parents.
Hope all of you are well. We have a few items in this week’s update.

  1. Halloween
  2. Parent Teacher Interviews
  3. Terry Fox Campaign
  1. Halloween
Given the circumstances, we still managed to have a lot of fun with Halloween today. Plenty of great costumes, amazing door/pumpkin decorating, and a COVID safe parade within the school that was ‘live streamed’ into the classrooms for all to follow along. We discovered many of our students are not camera shy in the least!
A big thank you to our Parent Council for supplying the pumpkins and accessories!!
We have posted several pictures on our Twitter account for you to see – @LambtonKingsway.
    Please be safe this weekend.
  2. Parent Teacher Interviews
Report cards will be sent home on Monday November 16, 2020. As in past years, parents are invited to book an interview time with their child’s teachers the week of November 16 th to 20 th . This year, unfortunately due to COVID, we will not be able to have you in the school but will be
holding interviews virtually or over the phone. While many of our staff will have availability throughout the entire week, our common times for booking will be Thursday evening and Friday morning.
The booking system opens the morning of Tuesday, November 3 rd and closes Friday, November 6. To book an appointment, follow these simple directions.
    · Go to http://www.schoolinterviews.ca
    · Click on Make a Booking
    · Enter the event code 7fy8a
    · Select the teacher(s) and time(s) you would like to book
  3. Terry Fox Campaign
Terry Fox certainly lives on here at LKS! This year marked the 40th anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, and our 20th year of participating. Even during these difficult times, we came together to raise much needed funds for cancer research. While we weren’t able to have our huge community neighbourhood walk, we had smaller walks with our individual classes and participated in a “What’s Your 40?” Challenge.
Cookie sales last January, t-shirt sales, student fundraising pages, online donations and cash donations have allowed us to raise an incredible $24,819.68. This will bring our grand total to $533,729.19! A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our annual Terry Fox Fundraising
Campaign! Your generosity makes a difference for all those who have been touched by cancer!
Thank you and have a great weekend.
