Hope all of you are well.
A quick update on our Terry Fox Walk from Mrs. Gibson.
Our walks this year are being split over two days (Thursday Oct. 1 and Friday Oct. 2) in order to allow for the necessary physical distancing. We will walk rain or shine, so be sure your child is dressed appropriately. If there is thunder and/or lightning, we will plan another date. Instead of walking our regular Humber River/neighbourhood walk, we will be sticking to our school and shale pit area. Unfortunately we are not able to include parents, grandparents or caregivers this year, but would like to thank you in advance for your support of our annual fundraising campaign. As we all know, cancer hasn’t stopped, and we continue to work together to keep Terry’s dream alive here at LKS. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000. Please go to Donate to LKS to make a donation to our school, or have your child set up their own fundraising page at Student Fundraising Page and send out to friends and family. If you would prefer to send in cash and/or cheque donations (made out to Terry Fox Foundation), you will need to print off a Pledge Sheet. We will continue to accept donations until after Thanksgiving weekend.
