Willy Wonka We are so excited to be presenting the LKS students in Willy Wonka this coming week. We want to thank Parent Council for your generosity in supporting this very large undertaking. Please remember to bring your ticket with you to the show. We are almost sold out for both evening performances. Especially for our evening performances, please try not to leave single seats between you and your neighbour. We are going to be at capacity and for safety and fire regulations, we need to make sure everyone has a seat and is not standing along the walls of the gym. Special Thank You to:
XFUSION – April 29 to May 2 – ALL LKS STUDENTS WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THIS AMAZING LEARNING OPPORTUNITY THROUGHOUT THE WEEK! X Fusion aims to develop student’s self-regulation skills in order for them to discover their own self-realization. To achieve this students partake in sessions designed to increase and decrease their energy levels and model methods/tools/tactics which allow them to regulate by themselves. Each class will have 3 sessions throughout the week and there is a PARENT NIGHT scheduled for Thursday, May 2. A permission form will be coming home for parents to sign and return. Please see the attached flyer. Payment for this fantastic experience can be made at www.schoolcashonline.com. X-Fusion Family Event – Thursday, May 2, 2019 Welcome to X Fusion! An interactive experience where students learn self-regulation tools and strategies in order to discover the power of their own self-realization! X Fusion uses high intensity energy flows along with yoga inspired moves to experience different energy levels and affirms the learnings with the “Feel, Choose, Fuse!” mantra! You and your family are invited to come and enjoy the X Fusion experience as well as learn some important self-regulation tools and tactics! There are 2 separate sessions. Session 1 is 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Session 2 is 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is a family event and we encourage you to attend so your child can show you all the wonderful things that have been learned. Please login to your www.schoolcashonline.com account and choose 1 session and indicate how many family members will be attending. If you have more than one child at LKS, you only need to register one child with the total number of family members attending. No need to do it for each child. There is a maximum of 300 participants for each session. There is no cost for this Family event. Chess Club Lunchtime on THURSDAYS April 3 to May 23 Please see the attached flyer for information about our lunchtime Chess Club. Please note the change in days from Wednesdays to Thursdays. Art in Action Join Art in Action at Lambton Kingsway for a brand-new Spring art program! Create your own great works of art inspired by famous artists and places in Toronto. Our classes have an art history component that works with the elements and principles of design. Students will have the tactile experience of experimenting with a variety of art materials and techniques including: watercolours, acrylics, collage materials, oil pastels, chalk pastels and more. This art enrichment program is geared for success with approachable step-by-step projects. Create a new piece each week. Mondays, April 8 – June 10
