Parent Council News Details: Parent Council Meeting – Monday, November 26, 7 p.m. The next meeting is Mon. Nov. 26, 7pm in the LKS Library. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. We need your involvement! Childcare will be provided in the computer lab during the meeting. Holiday Concert – Volunteers Needed for Stage Decoration A fun opportunity to decorate the stage for the primary/junior holiday concert! Props required: Christmas tree, wrapped gifts, toy box, snowflakes and other seasonal decor to be placed on/around the stage. Set-up required by 12pm on Wednesday, December 12th. Please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0945AFA728A2FA7-holiday Stonegate Hamper Program Our hamper campaign in support of Stonegate Community Health Centre will pair each class with a family in our community experiencing hard times. Grade parents will be provided with information about their partner families, as well as a list of items the families have said that they need. Your grade parents will provide you with more information about your partner family and coordinate donated items. We are so proud of our LKS community, and the generosity of spirit that this initiative reflects, on all your parts. Thank you in advance for your participation! Winter Coat and Boot Drive Running Monday, November 19 through Thursday December 6, 2018 Children at Second Street Junior Middle School in the Lakeshore and Royal York area need CLEAN Coats and Boots. Mr. Lowry, the principal at the school, is very appreciative of all our past and present efforts and would like to thank all LKS parents in advance. Donated items will be dropped off to Second Street Junior Middle School on Friday December 7, 2018. Please drop off BAGGED, CLEAN coats and boots outside the front office. Lost and Found Announcement The Lost and Found is overflowing with $1,500’s of personal belongings. Lunch bags are often left behind with decaying food. Please have your children check the Lost and Found on the South Wall of the school on the Cubby Shelves and Hooks. Everything will soon be donated Parent Social – Thank You Donors & Sponsors Thank you once again to our generous donors and sponsors for helping make this year’s Parent Social pARTy the most successful event ever! To order, please log into your School Cash Online account and select one of the two options:
Order deadline is December 15th. No late orders or cash will be accepted after the deadline. Pizza Lunch dates are: Jan 25th, Feb 22nd, Mar 29th, Apr 26th, May 31st, and Jun 27th (Lunch on the Lawn) Your participation is greatly appreciated, as all funds raised go to LKS. Lunchtime Milk (January to March) – Milk will be on sale in November for the months of January to March. 6” and 12″ Subway Lunch – (January to March) Subway Lunch Dates: Every Monday in January to March except for Tuesday, February 19 and during the March Break.
