Crossing Guard Issues – Please Email to provide feedback
We have noted several safety issues with the current crossing guards – most importantly that they are wearing EAR BUDS while serving our community. As this responsibility transitions away from the TDSB, the new provider has contracted this out to Neptune Security company. Many of us have expressed concerns about the job they are doing. Please support the call to action to provide feedback on the lack of effectiveness of the current crossing guards at our school, please email the following with a CC to the Landy at the second email address:

Terry Fox Update
Thank you to all who came out to our annual Terry Fox Walk. Our fundraising goal this year is $21,727.50. So far we have reached the $10,000 mark. Pledges will be accepted until just after the Thanksgiving weekend. Let’s meet our goal once again this year, which is only 5 cents more than last year! Please go to http://www.terryfox.ca/LambtonKingswayJMSEtobicoke or send in your paper pledge sheets with cash and/or cheques made out to The Terry Fox Foundation. Extra pledge sheets are available in the office or from Mrs. Gibson.
Scholastic Bookfair is Back!
Tuesday October 9th to Friday October 12th the library will be hosting our annual LKS Scholastic Bookfair. Most classes will come at their regular library time, with the exception of any classes that come on day 3 (the teachers involved will be choosing another time – stay tuned).
We will be open 15 minutes before school and 15 minutes after. Recess will be open for students that want to shop without their class: Mornings for grades 5 to 8 and afternoon recess will be open to grades 1 to 4.
Thanks to our team of volunteers that will be staffing the fair for the week. LKS is such a great place to be!
If you have any question, please email Ms McGee at cynthia.mcgee@tdsb.on.ca
